Mutate Britain
If Tate Britain is a bit too, well, sissy for you, you should head over to Mutate Britain, which exhibits fearsome art in a setting under the Westway, just off Portobello Road, London. Seen at night, it’s a scene straight from Mad Max or Burning Man, with smoking metal trees, pictures painted straight onto concrete walls and tattooed boys and girls drinking punch and eating chicken and rice to west London music from the 80s to today, from The Clash to . And it’s all the better for being curated by one of our own: Mentorn development producer Jack Lomax.
Get over there before it disappears into the night on 25th October 2009.
