In: Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment Commissioning, ITV
Sue Murphy has been appointed as Head of Factual Entertainment Commissioning at ITV. Murphy’s previous credits as Optomen Creative Director include Employable Me for BBC2, Bafta-nominated Kevin McCloud’s Escape To The Wild, Ramsay’s Costa Del Nightmares and Gordon Behind Bars, Undercover Doctor and Mary Portas Secret Shopper for Channel 4, Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch for CBBC and the forthcoming series The Miracle, hosted by Emma Willis, for ITV.
Prior to joining Optomen in 2012, Sue Murphy was Channel 4’s Head of Features and Factual Entertainment, and played a key role in commissioning many of C4’s longest running, iconic and award-winning programme brands including Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and Gordon Ramsay’s F Word, Embarrassing Bodies, Heston’s Feasts, How to Look Good Naked, The Sex Education Show and Supersize vs Superskinny. Her department was also responsible for My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings series, Undercover Boss, The Undateables and the influential Food Fight Seasons including individual programmes Hugh‘s Chicken Run, Ramsay’s Shark Bait, Cook-a-long Live and Hugh’s Fish Fight.
