Ill Gotten Gains (5 x 45′) – For some criminals, crime doesn’t pay. This dynamic and ground-breaking new series follows Regional Organised Crime Units and Police Forces systematically taking down Britain’s criminals.
How? Quite simply by seizing their assets as ‘Proceeds of Crime’ and selling them at auction to put money back into the public purse.
Each programme is based at an auction and will tell the stories behind the lots, but also the victims’ accounts of suffering at the hands of multi-millionaire criminals. Then we’ll witness criminals’ prized possessions going under the hammer.
Ill Gotten Gains sheds a spotlight on just how the police and other crime fighting agencies are hitting criminals where it hurts. Viewers will discover for real just how much cash can be recouped from Ill Gotten Gains.
