Greenlit: Stalkers, BBC1
Stalkers (1 x 60′) – Stalking in Britain is significantly on the increase. It’s estimated that one in six women are stalked at some point in their life. Nearly 50 percent of the cases turn violent and many victims are forced to flee their homes and change jobs.
Following live unfolding cases, from the abusive phone call to attacks on the family home, the documentary will give an extraordinary insight into a terrifying crime from the victim’s perspective. Many describe the experience as being constantly hunted. Victims often feel let down by the criminal justice system and the documentary will explore why only 1 percent of stalking cases result in a criminal conviction.
