November 13th 1916 saw the day of the final major British offensive of the Somme. This documentary will tell the forgotten stories of the men who helped turn the brutal battle of attrition from a crushing defeat into a turning point that helped Britain towards victory in WWI. Among those whose secret histories are revealed in the documentary are Jamaican brothers Roy and Norman Manley, tank gunner Joe Miles, and Vere Harmsworth, son of Daily Mail press baron Lord Rothermere.
